For Seniors (and anybody really) any spread that hardens either in a tub or stick, can be hard on the arteries. Go for a liquid substitute like Olivia. Season it if you may but stay away from that which hardens or has t be warmed or melted. Buy a non-aerosol version of the seasoning.

Spray on is not a good idea according to Dr. Oz show. He had a segment that discussed the dangers of the propellants used in the spray on products. A hand pump works just as well and has no danger of contamination from the propellant.

In baking, you can substitute part of the butter with bananas, or if that flavor is too strong, you can use applesauce. I do it all the time, and you can't even tell the difference in taste.

I don't know any substitute for butter. It is very fatty, but still better that margarine. For baking coconut butter is the healthiest. Maybe try with low fat creams with bread.

Brummel and Brown is good. I am, however, confused by the comments. Is it or isn't it lactose free? Gluten is also a no-no, and I'm discovering wheat is added to all kinds of foods. Is Brummel and Brown also gluten free.

Weeee.... for Ghee! This stuff taste great, its clarified butter. Certified 100% Organic . 1 tsp. 5g = Totalfat 5 g, Sat. 3, 0 trans fat , 0 sodium, 8 mg cholesterol. But the best part is its real , no hydogenated or not pasteurized.
This is much better for the health of your body than most butter subsitutes and Idianian peolple have known it for years. I got it at whole foods but try any local health food store

Congratulations! You have successfully altered the previously fine taste of your Brummel and Brown yogurt (butter) spread. It doesn't taste the same, why did you do that?
