Interesting!

Everyone loves going to a vacation. It is a good activity or bonding with family and friends. It is very to check on the things you need to bring. Start with the most useful like clothes, toiletries and stuff you need. Select a vacation bag that is comfortable for your belongings and also comfortable for you to bring.

I only eat when I'm hungry. Also, do not go food shopping when your hungry.

We always buy a cooler upon arrival. We prepare our own breakfast and lunch (cereal, sandwiches, salads) and then eat out for dinner. Pumpkin seed packs are small enough for your purse, low WW points, and really hold hunger off. Add an orange, and you have a filling lunch. We also like K2O Protein Water Mix that you add to your water bottle. In 30 calories you get 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. I love Glenny's soy chips if I can find them on store shelves. They are a such tasty filling snack. Rejuvenate yourself while on vacation, then get back to your program as soon as you get home. Wishing you success, Shirley.

My husband and I make frequent trips to the beach staying for a long wkend or such. What I find helpful is bringing along my portible dvd player or my laptop and a band workout like Stephanie Huckabee's PowerFit--only 20 minutes and a wonderful effective workout ! This inspires and reminds me that I am still honoring my commitment to health while enjoying the vacation type environment. I find that my eating is more in control than when I travel without these few simple tools!
Love, Linda

We go away for two weeeks every summer & a week in the winter. I am so good the rest of the year so I can splurge a 'little bit' when I get away.
I have a Curves membership & I still go to one when vacationing! I also walk the beach a LOT, and make some wise choices when out to dinner. There are certain things I allow myself that I don't eat all year long, but moderation is still the key, vacation or not.

The "I'm on vacation!" diet excuse is a tough one to beat. There's so much good food to enjoy on a vacation.

My two best tips are simply:
You don't have to finish what you started. Just because the food is there doesn't mean you have to eat it all. Moderation is key on vacation. Slow down at meals and consider what you're eating.

Walk alot. If you're on vacation, there's no better way than walking to see and really experience the area you're visiting. Plus, it's handy for burning off some of last night's dinner, too.

Have fun.
